Nutritional therapy is the application of nutritional science in order to promote general well-being, peak performance and, preventative measures for a healthy lifestyle.
The main principles of nutritional therapy are:-
- To identify and treat the cause rather than the symptoms.
- “Back to basics”
– the more natural the food you eat, the better. The less
processed and more fresh a food is, the more nutrients it is likely to
retain.
- We are complex organisms and require a wide range of nutrients
for the body to stay fit and well. In the short-term the body may cope
with any short-falls but longer-term the imbalances are likely to be
expressed as symptoms.
